Maegan Batson gave her classification talk using the 4-Way test as the outline of her talk. Maegan is the Development Director at Respite Care and is sponsored by Susie Ewing.

Maegan said that she is from Mobile, Alabama and that she grew up as the oldest of five sisters and asked us to imagine her father’s therapy sessions. Her family relocated to Colorado a little over six years ago due to one of her sister’s medical needs. Maegan stayed behind while in nursing school and then moved here about five years ago. In the “Is it the truth” part of the 4-Way test, she said that she changed several things in her life when she moved here, like recycling and getting a different car...

In the “Is if fair” part, she told us about starting businesses as a young girl and then “selling” them to her younger sisters. One of her businesses was as an Amway representative at age 14, which probably made her the youngest Amway rep. She said that she got the fairness part realized when she joined The Group.

In the “Will it build good will” part, she talked about volunteering together with one of her little sisters at Respite Care. After serving in several positions with that organization, she left her job at The Group and joined Respite Care.

In the”Beneficial to all” part of the 4-Way Test, she said that joining our club will take care of that part. Maegan ended her interesting classification talk by saying that she is glad to have joined Rotary and hopes to learn a lot from our members.
