CSU BASKETBALL - Kathy Nicol is selling the remainder of her 2016-2017 CSU Men’s basketball tickets.  There are 4 seats plus parking pass available for $51.00 per game.  They are located in Row 4 behind the CSU bench.  She will sell all or individual game tickets.  Please contact her at kcnicol@comcast.net. or 970/215-1543.
 
LEGACY FUND
It’s getting close to tax planning time again.  Take advantage of the tax free charitable distribution from your IRA by designating the Legacy Fund as the recipient.  Your gift will move the Legacy Fund closer to its $1 million goal by the Club’s 100th Anniversary and help sustain our Club’s charitable activities in Fort Collins and Northern Colorado.  If you have questions speak to Jud Harper..

Club Leadership Nominations
NOTICE:  RCFC’s Annual Meeting and leadership election will be held during our regular meeting December 14.  Satellite members are encouraged to attend the meeting and participate in the election.  
 
The Nominations Committee, appointed in September by President Glenn, has completed its deliberations, and is very pleased to present the following slate for your affirmation and selection on December 14.  
 
President Elect Nominee - Steve Laine  (will be President 2018-19)
 
President Elect Nominee STEVE LAINE is the owner and founder of MKO Financial in Fort Collins and a Registered Representative of Principal Securities Inc.  He was born and raised in northern California, graduated from UCLA and holds advanced certifications as a Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Life Underwriter and Registered Health Underwriter from American College, Bryn Mawyr, PA.  He has served on the board of the Better Business Bureau and Junior Achievement, and has been a member of RCFC since 2006.   As a Rotarian he has chaired the Membership Committee, co-Chaired the RYLA/YRYLA Committee, and has served on the Sargent at Arms, Scholarships and Front Desk committees.  He served on the RCFC Board of Directors, 2010-13.  Steve and wife of 25 years Kris have three children; Matthew, Katherine and Olivia.
 
Director Candidates – Per RCFC by-laws, the Nominations Committee presents the following four well qualified candidates.  During the December 14 meeting, the membership will be asked to select, via secret ballot, the two who will serve July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2020.

STEWART FAIRBURN retired in 2015 as City Manager in Chickasha, Oklahoma, having also served cities in Kansas and Texas, and as Assistant City Manager in Missouri and Budget Officer in Aurora CO.  He earned his B.S. in Political Science from CU Boulder, and MS in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma.  He currently runs Fairburn Consulting LLC for Local Governments and Non-Profits.  He joined Rotary in 2003 in Gardner Kansas, was involved Youth Exchange at both the Club and District level, served on the Board and became Club President 2007-2008.  He was also a Rotarian and Board Director in Chickasha, before joining RCFC in 2015.  He currently serves RCFC as Assistant Treasurer, is on the Finance Committee, the Quad Club STEM Committee, and attends Board meetings regularly.  He has attended the District Conference, two District Assemblies, and completed the Rotary Leadership Institute.
 
KELSO KELLY is currently Regional President of ANB Bank, responsible for Fort Collins, Boulder and Northern Colorado.  Previously he served as President and CEO, Capital West Bank (f/k/a First National Bank of Wyoming), and has held various bank officer positions for the last 39 years.  He attended the College of William and Mary before graduating from CU Boulder and has earned various advanced degrees in the Financial Services industry.  He has served as Board Member and Club President for Kiwanis Club of South Denver and on the boards of the Laramie Economic Development Corporation, the Ivinson Hospital Foundation, the Laramie Jubilee Days Committee, the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, the West Chamber Foundation, Jefferson Economic Council, on the R1 School District's Financial Oversight Committee, as Finance Chair for the Gateway District Boy Scouts of America, in addition to various other boards and committees.  He joined Laramie Rotary Club in 2010, and transferred to RCFC in 2015 serving as Co-Chair of the Program Committee, and on the Legacy Trustees.  Kelso has also been awarded First Interstate's Excalibur Award for Outstanding Performance, Outstanding Community Citizen Recognition for Ward IV, City of Lakewood and the Castle Award for Outstanding Contribution to Laramie Chamber of Commerce.
 
JOHN TRONE grew up on a family farm in Pennsylvania, received his B.S. in Marketing with a minor in Computer Science from Georgetown, and earned his MBA from Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.  After a career in information technology, finance and process improvement, he became Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Total Wine & More, the country's largest independent retailer of fine wine.  He has served on the boards of the Maryland Alliance for Greenways Improvement and Water for the Americas, a Colorado non-profit doing work in Central America.  John has been active in RCFC’s Satellite group, on the International Projects and Grants Committee and the Legacy Committee.  He is currently working on a 2nd Global Water and Sanitation Grant and a Healthy Schools District Grant schools in Guatemala.  He has attended numerous board meetings and has also completed the Rotary Leadership Institute.
 
STEVE VESSEY founded Vessey Funeral Service in 2007, after working part time at another funeral home for over twenty years.  Previously he was an insurance agent with Farmers Insurance Group for 34 years.  He majored in Management Science at CSU, and later studied Mortuary Science, earning a Certified Mortuary Science Practitioner designation with the state of Colorado.  He is certified with the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards.  Steve has been a member of RCFC for five years and been the front desk scheduling person for the past three years.  He’s TIPs trained and served beer at the Peach Festival and been a Salvation Army bell ringer each year.  He was a member of the 1992 Leadership Fort Collins Class, past president of Larimer County CrimeStoppers, Past president of the Ft. Collins Breakfast Optimist club (2) times and a past Lt. Governor of the Colorado Wyoming district of Optimist International.

**The 9-11 first shift will need to go to customer service and get the red bag with the
money pail and bells [there will also be water for bell ringers & candy canes for kids]**
**The 3-4 pm last shift will need to put the pail and bells in the red bag and return them
to customer service**

A Rotary Membership Cadre will facilitate this event.  All members of our District who are interested in brainstorming new ideas on how to recruit, retain and engage members in their club are invited to attend!  This is a FREE event but you do need to register on this site so we know how many to expect.
Check-in will begin at 8:30 am and the seminar will begin promptly at 9:00 am.  Lunch will be on your own during a short lunch break in the college cafeteria.
