The United States and China are two of the world’s superpowers as well as major economic players in
the global market.  Their histories and philosophies of governance, however, could not be more
different.
Exploring these differences is the topic on Saturday, June 4, in an educational program at the Global
Village Museum of Arts & Cultures.  Dr. Charles Greer, who has lived in both China and Taiwan, will
speak at 2 pm on “Being Chinese:  Citizen, Nation, and the People’s Republic.”
Greer’s presentation is part of a lecture series with “China’s Imperial Treasures:  Art and Artifacts,” the
Museum’s main exhibit through June 18.  Admission to the program and the Museum’s four galleries is
$5 for adults and free for Museum members.  Located at 200 W. Mountain Avenue, the Museum is open
Tuesday-Saturday, 11-5 pm.  For more information, please visit globalvillagemuseum.org or call
970.221.4600.
Interest from our Legacy Fund helps sustain RCFC Charitable Projects.  Help build the Legacy Fund to $1,000,000 by our 100th birthday in 2018.  Look for this blue badge for information.
