Each year, Rotary funds some of the world’s most dedicated and brightest professionals to study at our Rotary Peace Centers. These fellows are committed to the advancement of peace, and often go on to serve as leaders in national governments, NGOs, the military, law enforcement, and international organizations such as the United Nations and World Bank.

Rotary Peace Fellow: Lucy Storelli-Castro

Lucy Storelli-CastroLucy was also our clubs exchange student to Ghana a few years ago. Lucy finished her degree in African Peace and Conflict Studies at Bradford in December of 2013. During her time at Bradford, she spent four months doing research in Liberia West Africa. Part of her time in Liberia she interned with the Justice & Peace Center helping with rural law reform and specifically helping a Liberian family. She also lived with a family in the largest slum in the Liberian capital, Monrovia. Her thesis was accepted with distinction.

In 2014, Lucy is currently teaching English as a second language at Front Range Community College. She is waiting to hear about acceptance to PhD programs from a number of schools. Her goal is to become a professor of Political Science. While in Fort Collins, we hope to have Lucy attend our meetings and help with some of our International Humanitarian projects.
