I grew up in Colorado Springs and came to Fort Collins in 1969 to go to college at CSU. My wife Sheri and I met in college and were married upon graduation. We have two children and four grandchildren, and fortunately for us they live in Fort Collins and Denver.
I worked at CSU in the Division of Student Affairs for the past 45 years and at the same time was a faculty member in the School of Education for 40 years. For the past 15 years I have been working in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and directing a graduate program for students going into college administration. Sheri worked as a music teacher in the Poudre School District for 30 years before retiring.  She is currently the Artistic Director for the Centennial Children’s Chorus, sings in the Larimer Chorale, and is the Director of our church choir at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

I value service to the community and have been involved on the Fort Collins Affordable Housing Board, on the Board of Directors for the Larimer County Food Bank, and on the board of the Lutheran Campus Ministry. I am hoping to continue to serve the community as a member of the Fort Collins Rotary Club.
