I am a 3rd generation Coloradoan, having grown up in the Four Corners area. I have a BS in Career Counseling from Colorado Mesa University and a Masters in Human Resources from the University of Phoenix. My professional career included over fifteen years in Human Resource management and consulting. Most recently, I've managed rental properties in Colorado and for two years, an Airbnb in Scottsdale, Arizona. I have a daughter Taylor and a son Nate, both living and thriving in Denver (and my best work). I enjoy managing events and projects, skiing, walking, and watching just about any two teams play soccer.
I admit that until last year, I didn't fully comprehend what Rotary International was about. After seeing their efforts throughout the world, especially in Ukraine, I am a believer in its positive impact. I want to be a Rotarian to build a community of friends and engaged citizens in my fairly new and much-loved home of Fort Collins. It will, I believe, allow me to build goodwill and better friendships, one component of the four-way test. I believe strongly in the importance of Truth and Fairness, both aligned with my values, and both greatly needed in today's world. I wholeheartedly believe in working to make my community and world a better place by being engaged, giving back and working to be a benefit to my neighborhood, my community and beyond. It's easy to "stay in your lane" and not go much outside your neighborhood. I have enjoyed attending meetings and getting to know people I've met in Rotary with life experiences that are different from mine. Rotary is a great way to inspire me to be more involved in the community. I look forward to learning from members, guest speakers and the weekly programs if I'm accepted. I would aspire to act in a way as a member that is beneficial to all concerned, especially the Fort Collins Club.
