The US Peace Corps – Service and Stories
The Rotary Club meeting at the Lincoln Center this coming Wednesday includes a special program on the US Peace Corps.  This will be a timely session, since CSU is in the final stages of establishing a permanent “Peace Corps Tribute Garden”.  This will be a place honoring CSU’s role in the founding of the US Peace Corps and researchers Dr. Maury Albertson and Pauline Birky-Kreutzer who developed the first Peace Core feasibility study and technical training program.  This week we will hear stories of service and lives impacted from former volunteers, a Country Director and from Laura Thornes, CSU Associate Director of Development Research and International Programs.  Laura will update us on the planned Peace Corps Tribute at CSU. READ MORE...
