RECAP: Reducing and Eliminating the Human Health Threat of Militarism
On November 3, David Swanson, the Executive Director of World Beyond War and the Campaign Coordinator for RootsAction.org, gave us an extensive argument for the elimination of war and preparation for war.  He started by asserting that most (if not all) wars are unnecessary and that it is possible to avoid all wars.  Negotiate, don’t invade!  One of his central points is that we need to confront the health threat of militarism: that war is a health issue is agreed to by a wide range of health care providers and organizations.  READ MORE...

Kristi Bohlender - Prospective Member Approved!
The Board voted to approve the membership of Kristi Bohlender, Colorado State University Alumni Association Executive Director.

From Kristi: I am so thrilled about the opportunity for Colorado State University to become more active with Rotary in Fort Collins.  As a product of northern Colorado, Rotary has always been special to me.  I remember participating with the lunch Rotarians (too many years ago) when I was the student body President at Fort Collins High School, and then throughout all of my years when I was working in the CSU Athletic Department.  It was such an honor to be the guest at Rotary, and I can still hear Shelly Godkin asking, “How about those Rams” as he introduced our coaches and student-athletes.  It was also incredibly special to be the guest of my dad Don (Unger) and brother Kevin (Unger) on occasion!  READ MORE...
