Empowering Vulnerable Children through Education
On May 4th, we meet on Zoom at noon. Coming to us from the Rotary Club of Hai-Kilimanjaro is Timothy Massawe, the founder and Director of the SAIDIA AGRICULTURE AND SOCIAL CARE ORGANIZATION (SASCO). He will be introduced by Kathy Nicol. Mr. Massawe, a lawyer whose home is in Tanzania, will explain SASCO’S program to support education in Tanzania through offers of scholarship help. READ MORE...
RECAP: Ranked Choice Voting and Other American Election Issues
Last week on April 27th, at our in-person meeting we were visited by the Larimer County League of Women Voters (LWVLC). A primer on Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) was presented by Kathleen Schmidt. The Sustainable Peacebuilding Fellowship will meet this Wednesday at 1:30 after the noon meeting on zoom. The topic for this month is "GENDER DIFFERENCES AND SUSTAINABLE PEACEBUILDING"
For our evening meeting this week on May 4th in-person, we will be having a Community Service discussion with Committee Chair Jon Land. The meeting will be at SweetWater Brewing, social time at 5:00, business starts at 5:30.
This will be a special celebration at the Lincoln Center in the evening of May 18th. Good food, drinks and fun; you will not want to miss it. More information and RSVP here.
The Board is pleased to annouce the approval for membership of Donald Gaymon. Donald states "I sold my homecare business Caregivers, Inc. in December 2021 after 19 years as a franchise owner. I have three children and seven grandkids scattered across the country. I have changed career directions a few times in the past. My career in academia includes a year as a visiting professor at CSU."
"I started my Rotary connection about 30 years ago in the Westwood Village Club in Southern California. Rotary's international emphasis has always been a driving force in why I am a Rotarian. I use The Four Way Test as a connection with my hobby interest in ethics."

Riley states "I am Riley Spight and I was born and raised in Northern Colorado and I have a great sense of pride being from this area. I grew up in Greeley and went to Colorado State University where I studied Agriculture Business. I currently work for IMA Select where I work with individuals and businesses on safeguarding their assets. I come from a very close family and they too live in Fort Collins today. Family and friends are everything to me and I spend a great amount of time with my family. I am an avid fly fisher and love to spend my free time outdoors." READ MORE...
