Programs

Rotary Foundation
This Wednesday, at our Zoom meeting at noon, fellow Rotarian Andrew Stewart will lead the program, following his introduction by John Trone.  Andrew is serving this year as our club’s Rotary Foundation Chair and plans to refresh us as far as the important facts about the Rotary Foundation, its achievements, and goals. The Foundation, begun in 1917, is given Charity Navigator’s highest rating for charitable organizations, and devotes 91% of its funds on program grants and operations. During the months of October and November the Foundation Committee is hosting a Foundation Drive to increase contributions from last year, and to increase the number of people contributing at any level. We had a great program last week at noon, honoring our veteran's one day before Veteran's Day.  Thanks to everyone for making this and all our meetings successful: from Harry and greeters; Jack and Ross - front desk; Dawn and Sergeant-at-Arms; Kathy and the setup/cleanup volunteers; Colin, Chuck & Larry - hybrid meeting; Dave/Stacy & Noon Program Committee; Kip/Bob - Cadets of the Month; Kathy & Community Grants Committee; our fellowship leaders; our inspirational speakers and everyone else that keeps things going; it takes a team. Thanks!

This week at noon for Rotary Foundation Month on zoom, we will hear updates on some of our various projects, both local and around the world. Please attend and see how your donations are having an impact here in Fort Collins and around the world.  At our evening meeting, our District Governor Elect, Lee Vara-Nelson, will be our special guest, a great opportunity to learn what is going on around our district.

Lastly, if you have not yet signed up for the holiday party, please RSVP now; you will not want to miss this fun annual event.

Yours in Rotary Service,

John
