About The Rotary Club of Fort Collins Leadership Academy 

Welcome to the Rotary Leadership Academy—a dynamic, six-month, cohort-based experience created by the Rotary Club of Fort Collins to help you build meaningful connections, expand your professional range, and grow as a leader at any stage of your journey.

Throughout the program, you’ll explore practical tools, insightful topics, and personal development opportunities designed to strengthen your leadership skills, deepen your self-awareness, and support your long-term career growth.

We Are Now Accepting Applications for the 2026 Cohort
Cohort Pricing: $150 for non-members, members of any Rotary Club are free
Schedule: Sessions are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month April through September from 4:30pm - 7:30pm at the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce with a kick off social on March 28th
 
2026 Syllabus:
  • March 28 - Kick Off Social @ Social in Fort Collins 
  • April 9 - Personal Leadership with Tony Sundermeier 
  • May 5 - Strategic Planning & Vision Setting with David Dunne 
    During this session, the cohort will be given a Capstone Project to work on as a group
  • June 11 - Project Management & Execution with Samantha Lee 
  • July 9 - Fostering Collaboration & Enabling Others to ACT with Kip Turain 
  • August 13 - Public Speaking & Storytelling for Leaders with Tanis Roeder and Kerrie Luginbill 
  • August 20 - Capstone Presentation to the Rotary Club of Fort Collins Board of Directors 
  • September 10 - Coaching, Facilitating & Encouraging the Heart with Tony Sundermeier 
 
Additional Details:
  • Cohorts are limited to 12 people 
  • Session leaders may request homework or pre-work to enhance the impact of their sessions
  • Sessions are in-person in Fort Collins
  • Participants can not miss more than 1 session to complete the program successfully 
  • Session duration will be up to 3 hours and will feature light dinner for each participant 
  • Participants will be required to complete a checklist of activities in addition to attending the sessions, including: attending a Rotary Club of Fort Collins board meeting, giving a short personal presentation during one of the meeting times, supporting the annual golf tournament, etc. 
  • A certificate of completion will be provided
