The main noon program on Sept. 16 will be a talk by Dr. Jim Hurrell about one of the nation’s premier scientific organizations. He will also participate in a special bonus session of our Science and Technology fellowship afterwards for additional Q&A and informal discussion.

Dr. James (Jim) W. Hurrell previously served as the Director of NCAR. He currently is a professor of atmospheric science at Colorado State University. He has contributed to over 140 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He is a fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society, the American Meteorological Society (AMS), and the American Geophysical Union (AGU).
