The food and supplies will be stored overnight in preparation for assembling food baskets (bags) for the Thanksgiving Food Basket distribution service event the next morning. Sign up here (blue buitton to the left) for the food pickup task and go to the main Thanksgiving Baskets event shown on Saturday on the Calender for other tasks. (Times listed are approximate currently.) Call the Event Chair (Dave) for questions about the pickup task or call Colin for problems with the signup process. |

Nov. 23, 2024 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Plan and deliver food baskets (bags) to needy residents in homes and apartments who are clients of our partners such as Finally Home and two others with food items for a Thanksgiving meal. This is a repeat of the successful Christmas Basket project last year. Rotary volunteers are needed for various tasks including planning the project ahead of time, transporting food from participating local food stores to a our temporary "workshop" (Group Real Estate office on Mullberry) on Friday, and on Saturday assembling the items into individual bags for each recipient, and each driver (and co-pilot) delivering individual bags to about 50 chosen residents in the Northern Front Range. Click on the blue button on the left of this page to go to the signup page to signup for one or more of the tasks listed. Use the Calender event on Friday to sign up to pickup the food. Call the Event Chair (David) if you have questions about the event and call Colin if you have signup problems. |
